rainbow brite

I didn't really feel like blogging last week.  I got some sad news, my sweet baby birds I have been updating you on disappeared from their nest.  They were not old enough to fly yet and I hate to think of what happened.  In my creative imagination I like to think the mother moved them to a new home.

Let's just leave it at that.

Even with my sad news last week I am still loving spring and feeling some bright colors.  I guess I am so glad spring is finally here, I just have to celebrate it!  One easy and cheap way to do that is with paint.

Nail paint.

I love short, boldly colored nails but with all hard work I do I don't get to have painted nails too often- they just don't last very long on me.

So this has really all come up because I was working on etching this bracelet.

If you can't tell it is a roses and leaves design and I wasn't able to get it etched as deeply as I wanted but I did manage to oxidize my finger nails.  They look all brown and yucky so I have to paint them.

Yuck, right?  If I leave them I feel like I have to explain why they are so gross.  So to avoid that I am just painting them because that makes me happy anyway.  But the question is what color???

Here are some I LOVE...

Orly- Passion Fruit, Essie- Funny Face, China Glaze- Pool Party, Colour & Go- Break Through

Revlon- Plum Seduction, Essie- One of A Kind, Butter- HRH, Sally Hansen- Flashy Fuchsia

Sally Hansen- Crush, China Glaze- Turned Up Turquoise, Butter- Snog, Orly- Oh, Cabana Boy

Which ever you choose, make sure to top it of with the BEST top coat EVER- Seche Vite.

 Happy Painting and Happy Monday!
