you go girl!

I need a weekend to recover from my weekend and unfortunatley it wasn't because I had too much fun, I was on my feet working.  But that's ok, it is to ease into not getting a pay check every two weeks like I have been for the last six years. 

While I was working I did get to watch the KY Derby.

So exciting!  Such beatiful animals. Although I have such a respect and love for God's creatures it does make me sad that often the horses get hurt during the races.  Above is a picture of Pants on Fire  (is there a better name out there?) and his jocky, 23 year old Rosie Napravnik, the only female jokey in the race.

Rosie is only the sixth female jokey to ride in the KY Derby and is the highest place woman finisher in KY Derby history.  At 5'2" and 111lbs Rosie has consistantly brought home more than $4,000,000 a year for the last several years, Go Rosie!  I love some good female inspiration!
