Cheesy, I know. But in honor of Easter I thought an Egg post would be appropriate. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, I did- and got in some good and much needed sister time.:)
Anyway these are totally amazing. This makes me sound like a huge nerd but I actually want to try to make one some day, I think my jewelry tools would lend themselves well to this- you know since I have so much spare time on my hands.;)
There are several artists that do this type of work and there is even an International Egg Guild but my favorite work is done by Brian Baity, much of it is very linear and modern...
By the way none of these eggs are chicken eggs, they are all either Goose, Ostrich, Rhea or Emu, I guess they have thicker less fragile shells and are larger eggs. The Emu egg is pretty cool, it has a dark outer shell and the inner layers are a creamier white like the egg below...
