new things

I've been working on a few new things lately and I'm super excited because today a few of those things are finally coming together...

These are all pieces that should be arriving in the mail today with a fresh, thick, glossy layer of 14kt gold on them!  I can't wait to see how these turned out.  I have to be honest I was originally against plating, I thought I'd just stick to metals as they are, silver and brass AND then I realized that brass has a nice golden color right after polishing but it tarnishes waaaay to fast to be practical- you would literally have to polish the thing up every week and I'm all for low maintenance so that's just not going to work.  And the thought of doing something in solid gold, yes a nice thought but not such a nice price.  So I turned to plating and we will see how it goes...

The other exciting thing is that I'm working on a new shopping cart solution for my website.  This is just a trial run of course, I'll be launching it later today so come back later in the afternoon to check it out!  The great thing about a shopping cart is it let's my customers use a coupon!
